Lake Plains 4-H Clothing Revue

Have you ever sewn something you can wear?  The Clothing Revue is your opportunity to proudly share your garment with others.   The Clothing Revue is a special event for youth who have sewn a wearable item.    Think “Project Runway.”    Youth wear their garment to the Clothing Revue.  Experienced adults talk with each youth about why they chose to make the garment, and look at the fit.  Is it an appropriate length?  Are the hems straight?  Is the lining smooth?  After getting some really good feedback, youth then learn how to model their item.

The event concludes with a fashion show, compete with commentaries the youth wrote themselves.  It’s a lot of fun.  What types of garment have youth sewn for Clothing Revue?  BBQ aprons, skirts, pajama pants, vests, jackets, shorts, nightgowns, formal wear, and everything in between.
